EIA Process Improvement Task Force

Accomplishments:

• Initiated the EIA Enhancement Project with the objective of enhancing the existing environmental impact assessment preparation and approval processes for Thailand's oil and gas exploration and production industry. The goal is to make the process more predictable, consistent and efficient, which will help attain sustainable benefits for Thailand and the industry. The project is supported and participated by all key stakeholders including the DMF, the Office of Natural Resources & Environmental Policy and Planning, the Pollution Control Department (PCD), E&P operators, and an expert panel.
