Service Station Task Force

Accomplishments:

• In 2010, the Task Force succeeded in resolving various industry issues relating to service-station operations, such as resolving the long-pending issue on the number of restrooms required by regulation. The Task Force is also collaborating proactively with the PCD to ensure regulatory compliance in rolling out VRU-II program at service stations, and to coordinate with the PCD to monitor the effectiveness of the system.
• The task force also follows up the pending issues such as to propose for waiver signage inspection of PWD, transfer power .of DOEB to local administration and a new technology for underground tank testing.
