Petrochemical Logistics Infrastructure and Management Task Force

Accomplishments:

• Collaborative with the Federation of Thai Industries by Petrochemical Industry Club, to support from IEAT for using the Map Ta Phut port to facilitate the increasing petrochemical exports volume. This project would benefit industry by providing another export option. The community would also benefit from less trucking and road congestion.
• Conducted field surveys and traffic analysis on June, 2010 under Map Ta Phut traffic mitigation program to study the problem from the perspective of community areas and find alternate routes during rush hours in community areas or assess relocating logistics facilities.

• Continue to provide additional supporting information to IEAT for Board’s consideration the project.  
• Re-conducted field survey and traffic analysis on June, 2011 to monitor for effectiveness of traffic mitigation programs and to continue follow up this issue.
