Code of Practice

Codes of Practice prepared under the auspices of the PTIT are drafted with the help of the petroleum and petrochemicals industry, based on acceptable standards and with special reference to the particular circumstances of the Thai environment. They are used by the government and industry, sometimes as a reference and to provide guidelines for government agencies to draft new laws and regulations. PTIT has completed the following Codes of Practice, all pertaining to safety and environmental issues.

Environmental Code of Practice for Hydrocarbon Development in Thailand

These codes are intended to provide organizations with guidance on the elements of an effective environmental management system that can be integrated with other management requirements to assist organizations in achieving a balance between environmental and economic goals.? The Codes also work to give the regulatory body confidence in industry’s? capabilities, commitment to continuous improvement, and effective communication of environmental information – the three vital ingredients for effective environment protection.
