The
PTIT's role in coordinating and facilitating an exchange
of views in policy and regulatory issues is growing
in step with the rapid growth of the Thailand’s petroleum
and petrochemical industries.
The Institute provides a neutral forum for public and
private sector interests as well as for those from the
academic field to meet and discuss issues of mutual
interest. It encourages efforts to find efficient and
mutually acceptable solutions to issues affecting further
industry development.
The PTIT set up three standing committees during 2002
to help coordinate and facilitate an exchange of views
in policy and regulations issues relating to the petroleum
and petrochemical industries in Thailand.
