PTIT Awards

       PTIT awards were established in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary celebration of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s ascension to the throne. The awards are granted to professional and lecturers in state universities in Thailand in areas related to petroleum, petrochemicals, and other hydrocarbon related fields. This is to help support their work and research and recognize their contribtions to the industry and the nation.

There are 5 types of PTIT Awards. Below are their descriptions and selection criteria:

Type 1: PTIT Distinguished Fellow

PTIT Distinguished Fellowship, is awarded every two years to a senior professional. The criteria are as follows:-

  • Well recognition from professionals in people development which related to Petroleum, Petrochemical and Energy related.
  • Good human relations and acceptable from peers.
  • Senior professional with excellent working records related to Engineering & Applied Science in Petroleum, Petrochemical and/or Energy related field.

Type 2: PTIT Fellow
PTIT Fellowship is awarded every two years to two senior lecturers. The criteria are as follows:-

  • Senior lecturer with excellent teaching records.
  • Contribution to improvement of education in the fields of Petroleum, Petrochemical and/or Energy related field.
  • Well recognition from peers.
  • At least 10-year teaching experience.

Type 3: PTIT Scholar

PTIT Scholarship is awarded every two years to two junior lecturers. The criteria are as follows:-

  •  Junior lecturer with high potentiality, responsibility and leadership qualities.
  •  Has excellent working record or is doing a research or thesis which valuable for academic and economic which related to Engineering & Applied Science in Petroleum, Petrochemical and/or Energy Related field.
  • 4-year - 10-year teaching experience.

Type 4: PTIT Laboratory/Workshop Instructor

PTIT Laboratory/Workshop Instructorship is awarded every two years to two laboratory instructors. The criteria are as follows:-

  • High laboratory/workshop related skills.
  • High responsibility.
  • At least 10-year teaching experience.

Type 5: PTIT Innovation

PTIT Innovation is awarded every two years to two innovation instructors. The criteria are as follows:-

  • Industry or Academic person who has consistently produced R&D results that benefit the petroleum, petrochemical and related industries as well as socio-economic of Thailand
  • Initiated R&D innovations locally that can be further developed for commercial applications
  • Having good human relations, positive attitude, widely accepted by peers and supervisors.
